Antitrust between EU Law and National Law/Antitrust fra diritto nazionale e diritto dell'UE
XVI conference/XVI convegno
This book contains the papers of the XVI Conference on ‘Antitrust between EU law and national law’, held in Treviso, on 6 and 7 June 2024.
The event took place under the patronage of the European Lawyers Union – Union des Avocats Européens (UAE), the Associazione Italiana per la Tutela della Concorrenza – Italian section of the Ligue Internationale du Droit de la Concurrence (LIDC), Associazione Italiana dei Giuristi di Impresa (AIGI), the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA), Associazione Antitrust Italiana (AAI) and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the University of Milan.
The contributions included in this volume are the result of in-depth analysis and study of the most salient and current issues arising from the application of antitrust rules, carried out by Presidents and representatives of EU and national Antitrust Authorities, in-house lawyers, leading academics, judges, lawyers, economists, high-ranking professionals, who attended the Conference.
The Authors deal with extremely topical and current issues, lying at the heart of the current antitrust debate. Some of the most contemporary topics include those related to the relationship between competition and regulation, sustainability, greenwashing, digital markets, the energy transition, and the most recent developments of merger control.
Ample consideration is also given to the procedural aspects of competition proceedings, antitrust and artificial intelligence, the evolution of consumer protection, the relations between compliance, leniency and deterrence, the main issues faced by in-house lawyers, as well as private antitrust enforcement.

Questo volume contiene gli atti del XVI Convegno sul tema «Antitrust fra Diritto Nazionale e Diritto dell’Unione Europea», tenutosi a Treviso, il 6 e 7 giugno 2024.
L’evento si è svolto con il patrocinio dell’Unione degli Avvocati Europei (UAE), dell’Associazione Italiana per la Tutela della Concorrenza - sezione italiana della Ligue Internationale du Droit de la Concurrence (LIDC), dell’Associazione Italiana dei Giuristi di Impresa (AIGI), della European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA), dell’Associazione Antitrust Italiana (AAI) e del Centro di Eccellenza Jean Monnet dell’Università Statale di Milano.
I contributi raccolti nel presente volume sono il frutto del prezioso lavoro di studio e di approfondimento delle più interessanti e attuali tematiche correlate all’applicazione del diritto antitrust, svolto da Presidenti ed esponenti della Autorità Antitrust a livello europeo e nazionale, in-house lawyers, accademici, giudici, avvocati, economisti, qualificati esponenti del mondo professionale ed istituzionale, intervenuti al Convegno.
Gli Autori trattano temi di estrema rilevanza ed interesse, che rappresentano il cuore delle problematiche antitrust oggi maggiormente dibattute, tra le quali spiccano, per attualità, quelle connesse ai rapporti tra concorrenza e regolazione, alla sostenibilità, al c.d. greenwashing, ai mercati digitali, alla transizione energetica e agli sviluppi più recenti del controllo delle concentrazioni tra imprese.
Ampio spazio è inoltre dedicato ai profili procedurali dei procedimenti antitrust, alle tematiche concorrenziali concernenti l’intelligenza artificiale, l’evoluzione della tutela del consumatore, i rapporti tra compliance, leniency e deterrenza, le principali problematiche affrontate dagli in-house lawyers, nonché il private antitrust enforcement.
