Since 1990, Alain Bensoussan has been exploring artificial intelligence and its legal framework to enable AI, a lever for economic growth, to develop within an ethical and regulated framework. After the computer revolution and the internet revolution, artificial intelligence is the 3rd digital revolution. 

Intended for legal and technology professionals involved in implementing and protecting projects integrating artificial intelligence, this book analyzes the European regulation on AI, in order to facilitate its implementation as closely as possible to the concerns of professionals. This regulation, which presents a uniform European legal framework for the development, marketing, commissioning, and use of artificial intelligence systems, is the result of more than 5 years of work and its immediate applicability aims to guarantee its rapid and effective implementation in the single European market. 

It will enable the development, deployment, and use of artificial intelligence systems. Its purpose is the regulation of artificial intelligence systems, robotics and related technologies, focused on the human factor and trustworthiness, while respecting ethics, liability regimes and intellectual property rights, in consideration of the essential values of European law: Fundamental Rights, Rule of Law, Democracy but also security, health and the environment.
