How to Best Regulate Crypto-Assets?

The EU and UAE Perspectives

Book | 1st edition 2025 | World | Pauline Pailler
Will be available on Strada lex soon
Description

This book publishes the proceedings of a symposium held in February 2025 at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi University, which provided an opportunity for academics, members of regulatory authorities, industry professionals and lawyers to debate the issues raised by the regulation of crypto-assets, in order to clarify and compare current and future regulations.
There are many issues at stake, including the introduction of a new central bank digital currency, the regulatory model for crypto-assets, the new regime for the issuance of stablecoins, the obligations incumbent on industry professionals, the international articulation of rules and the settlement of disputes...
The genesis of this project is justified on a regulatory level, because many States propose competing regulations to attract professionals, but also to ensure the safety of users. The regulatory issue is also of theoretical interest, because it questions the models of regulation.
