Dit boek biedt een overzicht van de beginselen van het internationaal publiekrecht. De auteur volgt de groeicurve van de transnationale rechtsvorming: van coëxistentie en coöperatie tot integratie van Staten en global governance, van de klassieke leerstukken van het volkenrecht t.e.m. de werking van mondiale en Europese intergouvernementele organisaties en de opkomst van tal van niet-statel­ijke actoren.
